Bella Thorne is engaged to producer and entrepreneur Mark Emms! The 25-year-old actress announced her boyfriend of less than a year popped the question on May 13, 2023 during an interview with Vogue that was published on Friday, May 26. Bella and the Bad Vegan producer met at Cara Delevingne‘s birthday party in Ibiza in Aug 2022 and have been inseparable ever since. “It was love at first sight as the sun rose,” Bella recalled to Vogue. After the article was published, she took to her Instagram account to show off her diamond ring.

As fans may recall, this is not the first time the Disney alum has been engaged. She and her longtime beau, Italian actor Benjamin Mascolo got engaged in 2021 after about two years of dating. Let’s take it all the way back to the beginning — we’re talking Disney days. Back when Bella was just a burgeoning star at the age of 13 years old, she had a cute little romance with Kenton Duty. The two appeared on the Disney series Shake It Up together and became close on set. Of course, the relationship was never really serious. After all, they were just kids! The two dated for a short period of time before ultimately breaking up. Kenton got married in 2019.

In 2011, Bella started dating Tristan Klier, and this became the actress’ first high-profile and long-term romance. While Bella was still making waves as a young star in the entertainment industry, Tristan was just your average school-aged kid, whose path just happened to cross with Bella’s. The twosome dated for roughly three years before making the difficult decision to call it quits in 2014.

Not long after her breakup with Tristan, Bella started dating someone new. In 2015, Bella began exploring a relationship with Brandon Lee. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Brandon happens to be the son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee! “We met during a breakup with my ex, and he’s really sweet,” Bella said during a 2015 appearance on The View, per E! News. Bella even had wonderful compliments for Pam. “His mom is so down-to-earth, so cool,” Bella said, referencing the former Baywatch star. “She’s really raised two beautiful boys.” Bella and Brandon eventually called it quits sometime in 2015.

After dating Brandon, 17-year-old Bella got together with Gregg Sulkin, who is five years her senior. “He’s one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. He’s so kind, so sweet,” she gushed to Us Weekly in Aug. 2014. “He’s very caring even when he doesn’t need to be. And I think maybe it’s because he’s raised in such a great way with his British manners.”

Bella also revealed that they met through both working for Disney. “We met through Facebook. Well, technically we met through the Disney circle. He was on Wizards of Waverly Place and I was just starting my first show Shake It Up,” she recalled. “We’re gonna see how it goes over the next few months. We’ve always been pretty close.”
Bella and Gregg’s romantic relationship lasted just over year. “After much thought and soul-searching, we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship,” the actors announced in a joint statement to PEOPLE. but they have remained public supporters of one another. “We will always love each other and have a deep respect for one another, as we have each grown to be better people because of our time together. Our schedules made seeing each other difficult, and we decided that for now this would be best.”
The breakup was certainly amicable, as they have remained public supporters of each other. In 2018, for example, he commended Bella for speaking out about her past sexual abuse. “For anybody that has ever experienced that kind of thing, they do have a voice,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “It must be extremely difficult and hard to try to share their story, [but] the more stories that are shared, hopefully the less it will happen.”

In 2016, teen fandoms freaked out when Bella started dating Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey. Even though the two merely dated for a month or two, they had a lot of cute PDA moments. And the breakup was difficult for Bella to process. “Honestly, Ty and I stopped dating and that was really difficult for me,” the actress confessed while chatting with Jenny McCarthy on The Jenny McCarthy Show. “It was definitely one of the hardest breakups I’ve been through.”

From 2017 to 2019, Bella was in a polyamorous relationship with YouTuber Tana Mongeau and Mod Sun. “Yeah, we joke around about poly, but we aren’t in the sense that we don’t put a word, a box or label too many things. It is what it is,” Bella said of their open relationship during a 2019 chat with the Gay Times.
She also commented on her sexuality during the candid interview. “It seems like no one understands bisexuality at all. In this world it’s like you’re either gay or you’re straight; there’s no in between,” she said. “If you f***** a guy once, you must be gay. Like, what? No. That’s just being fluid.”
Bella and Tana’s relationship lasted from September 2017 to February 2019, while her romance with Mod lasted from roughly October 2018 until April 2019. Bella confirmed her split from Tana on Twitter, while Tana also took to the platform to write about what their relationship meant to her. “i love her forever don’t get that twisted. she changed my life forever. don’t rly wanna talk on it.. there’s no negativity at all,” she tweeted.
However, the following year, the exes were involved in some drama after Bella seemingly shaded Tana for joining OnlyFans after she did. “Everyone jumping on OnlyFans but I took the hit for doing it first, cool,” the Duff actress wrote on her Instagram Story in Dec. 2020, per Life & Style. “Legit everyone in my news feed following in my footsteps, but when I was getting heat, y’all were scared.” Tana and Bella then seemingly shaded each other online a few more times after that. Bella also supposedly wrote a diss track for Tana, titled “SFB”, or “Stupid F****** B****”. Yikes.
Mod Sun went on to date — and even get engaged to — pop-punk princess, Avril Lavigne. They announced their engagement in April 2022, but sadly broke up by Feb. 2023.

In 2019, after some drama with Tana and Mod, Bella started dating Benjamin Mascolo. The twosome had a slew of cute moments after they started their romance in April 2019, and Bella never held off when it came to doting on her man. “I got so lucky with my Ben. He’s really just the perfect specimen and I honestly don’t know how I got so blessed with him,” she raved to Entertainment Tonight in Sept. 2020. “I love constantly learning about his life and his culture and his everything. [It’s] just so interesting when you date someone that hasn’t grown up with the same moralistic values and the same things as you.”
The pair seemed like a match made in heaven, and nearly two years after they began dating, Benjamin asked Bella to marry him, and she said yes! However, they broke up after three years together. “I broke up with Ben for my own reasons,” Bella wrote on her Instagram Story in June 2022, per Life & Style.

The Thorne Dynasty founder and NYC’s The Mulberry co-owner were spotted kissing on a boat in Greece in Aug. 2022, but the latter’s identity was not known at the time. They were then seen enjoying some quality time together at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights in September. That same month, PEOPLE confirmed their romance. “It’s new, and they’re having fun,” an insider revealed. “They’ve been dating for about a month.”
They went Instagram official on Valentine’s Day 2023 when the actress posted a picture of her and the producer recreating the iconic spaghetti scene from Disney’s Lady and The Tramp. “Find someone u want to share ur candy with,” she captioned the post. “Ps.this sexy tall British man is mine so get yah own cuz I feel like kickin Ass today”.
The pair have remained fairly quiet about their relationship, but it’s obvious how in love they are. When speaking to Vogue about their future wedding, Bella said she would love to tie the knot in the United Kingdom’s countryside. She also said she plans on wearing multiple designer wedding dresses. “Every bride does not need one gown, but four!” she proclaimed.
