While with the Nets, Durant suffered an MCL sprain in his left knee on Jan. 8 against the Heat and has missed his last 17 games consecutively.
The Suns enter Thursday’s game — their final game before the All-Star weekend — with a 32-27 record, sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference.
Phoenix will be put to the test against a Clippers team that is right behind them in the standings. LA currently holds the No. 5 seed in the West with a record of 32-28.

Is Kevin Durant playing vs. Clippers tonight?
While there was optimism that Durant could suit up for his new team before the All-Star break, the former MVP is listed as out on the team’s injury report and will not play for the Suns against the Clippers.
The team says he will be re-evaluated after the All-Star weekend.
Through 39 games this season, Durant is averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
